This is my 3rd query on the same subject. There is a bit improvement seen in mother case but simultaneously something else has also developed. She speaks a lot in the night and some time in the day time. In the night she speaks continuously and she will sleep only after getting tired of speaking. We just don't know what to do during that time. Is it normal post stroke? Kindly help me if some physiotherapy will be helpful or I should give some other treatment. We had stopped medicine for 48 hours because she had vomiting from last two days. If any one can guide me which vegetables juice should be given, it will be of great help. - Thank You.

- This is something I've seen before. Your going to have to let the doctor look at her and the doctor will probably give her some anti-psycotic drugs, I can't remember all the names but there are some good ones for people in your mothers condition and, there not full time, just until she levels off.
Sometimes these treatments takes a few weeks sometimes a short while, days even.
This is depressing and it's hard when it's your mother but, there's nothing more you can do, be patient.

By the way, they have a "sundowners" drug for people in this condition.

You have to remember that 'stroke' is considered a severe head injury. Her brain is simply trying to re-wire itself. This may go on for quite awhile before it slows down...just be patient. She doesn't need to be seen by a physiotherapist for talking...but they can definitely help with her rehabilitation and mobility.
If you took your mother off of her meds with out the advise of a physician then you need to call him/her immediately. Her meds could prevent her from having another stroke...and the second one might be disastrous for her.
If she i vomiting...vegetable juice may not be a good choice for her...simple unsalted crackers with some milk might help to settle her stomach down...if you are worried that this might intensify her condition go see her physician.

A lot of older people develop "sundown syndrome" that causes them to get restless and talkative in the early evening hours. I would suggest that before you stop her medications, add to, or change her dietary needs that you consult a physician.
