Where do you live? (I ask because bacon wasn't that cheap here.) Unfortunately, when gas goes up, so does everything that uses energy to make or transport -- just about everything. Uh, no one SAID that high prices help the middle class. Are you blaming Obama for this? Did you blame HIM for the tsunami in Japan, too? He's president, not GOD -- he doesn't control everything that happens everywhere in the whole world.

Well, it also depends on where you live. It would be in the neighborhood of ten or fifteen dollars a pounds here on the Hawaiian island of Molokai, but prices on Oahu, for instance, shoot up around the New Year.

depends on which "sushi grade" fish you are talking about. we are looking at: salmon, tuna, sword fish, mackerel, .......etc
it also depends on the season,too.
