HIV is very real.I worked in a hospital for 20yrs.I have seen what happens from the time that the are told of the HIV and again when it turns full blown to aids.It is a terrible way to die.It is sad that so many people go out and have unprotected sex.It's a lot worse than having a baby at a young age.There are drugs now days that can slow the process down,but there are no cures.

Some people are also too ignorant for their own good. HIV is very real- I know people who had HIV that 'grew' into full blown aids. That is a horrible way to die. What is sad, is that it can be prevented in most cases by taking the necessary precautions. HIV is not a fairy tale nor myth. I hope these people you refer to wake up and smell the roses before they have to suffer the consequences.

HIV is as real as flu, hepatitis B and C, herpes, or any other virus. There is copious scientific evidence to show this. Maybe you are referring to people not believing in AIDS which is the syndrome caused by the virus. However, it is proven that the HIV causes deficiencies in the immune system that makes sufferers more susceptible to opportunistic infection.
If HIV isn't real then what illness is?

Well, I worked in an HIV/AIDS clinic and believe me it´s real. Probably they need to see agonizing AIDS patients to believe it´s real. The sad thing is that as long they don´t believe it´s real, they will not get themselves tested and if they have HIV they´ll spread it around, because for them it doesn´t exist.

HIV is a man made virus. Synthesised by those unknown and initially intended to wipe out undesireables as they saw them. i.e homosexuals and drug-addicts. Although initially spreading only mainly through such people, the virus quickly got out of control and became far more destructive than the creators probably intended. Its real alright and a particularily nasty piece of biological engineering.

Go back to the pre-civil war south. HIV is a disease that affects many memebers of "good clean society" a group to which africans and gays belong.

I work in a children's home in Africa. 24 of our 51 children have the HIV virus. Believe me, it's real all right.

HIV and AIDS are my biggest fear....every year more and more ppl get it i think we all need to be more cautious because this life could become very short if we are not careful
