What are good levels for your blood count, and how often should I check it? Is checking in the morning better than the evening?

Just because your A1C (assuming this is what you're referring to) is in non diabetic range doesn't mean you're not diabetic. An A1C is not a diagnositic tool. The reason being it can be normal and your glucose levels still rise too high and stay elevated too long after meals. But even if you're not having these higher glucose levels after meals, it doesn't mean you're not diabetic anymore, it just means that you're under good control. Studies show that the two after meals test is the most telling in how well your control is. If your glucose is in range during those times then chances are it's in range the rest of the time too. A lot of people find testing before and then two after meals helps them see how food affects them so they can make better choices. Your doctor should give your target ranges but the ADA suggests under 180, the AACE (endocrinologists) suggest under 140. Under 140 is what most non-diabetic people would be, which is what the goal should be for most people. Checking in the morning also helps determine how well your treatment is doing. I don't know what the advantage of testing in the evening would be unless you're taking medications or insulin? Ideal fasting tests are under 110, which is out of diabetic range. 120 or less is considered good.

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.

Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

If you are talking about your A1c....5.8 is good. It should be below 6.0....However, if your cholesterol and triglycerides were way up, then most Doctors who are in the know about diabetes are considering that you may have type 2. A very good test is a 5 hour glucose tolerance test to determine if you are truly diabetic.
