Haven't heard of crabs in sometime. I would first of all say you are not married, and if you are one or the two of you are spreading them like wildfire. They just don't happen. My sister-in-law got them in her eyelashes, eyebrows, and not counting the other hairy places. The cure that I always heard growing up, and you may have heard it also.
If they seem to be concertrated to the pubic area only this method will work but could be a little painful.
First this is a must! You shave half your "pubic hair" off one side. Then get a little lighter fluid and in the other hand, an "Ice-pick". What you do then is to lite the fluid, and when the "critters" run to the shaved side you "stab" them with the ice-pick. This method will work if you have a steady hand....

Just like you would get rid of head lice. There are OTC products but, do not use the one that contains lindane. Or, you could visit your Dr. or family planning clinic, or health dept.

kwel cream....wherever there is hair on your body. You don't have to wash everything in your house, just anything that you have had or may have had contact with (clothes, bed sheets, towels, etc.)
