Both are detrimental to health. Chewing tobacco is considered safe compared to smoking but u need to visit India to see the deleterious effects of chewing tobacco.
Smoking contains another 2000 particles which u inhale. But both increase the risk for heart disease, cancer of oral cavity, throat, esophagus, lung, kidney, bladder, and many other. Also degenerative diseases and aging is accelerated.
So there is no alternative but to quit tobacco in all forms.

They both extremely dangerous to one's health. Tobacco chewing has a little bit of an adventage over smoking by having the possibility of an earlier detection. Still, mortality rate is rising!!!

they are both really bad for you but chewing tobacco is by far worse than smoking because within a few years you develop soars on your mouth that eat through you cheek ad cause all types of cancers also it eats away your tongue..

Well, I am a smoker, and I do know that BOTH are bad for you. I am trying to quit, but it is very hard; contrary to what some people might say.

Both can be because both can cause cancer---tabacco chewing USUALLY takes longer.
