Since most vegetarians would grab the box and start reading the ingredients in the crackers, if it had NO animal parts in it, then yes he/she would probably devour the whole box! They would be very tasty vegetarian food then!
I do know of some very hard core vegetarians/vegans that would protest the concept of eating something in an animal shape though. There are alot of other cookies out there that they would eat instead of supporting the concept that it is OK to eat animals.
I love the chocolate heart analogy! That is great. I will have to remember this when I am asked this moronic question again, and again, and again. Along with the "how do you get your protein?" question that I am asked again, and again, and again.

Although you're being serous It is a funny (ha ha) and philosophical question.
Being a vegetarian I don't eat flesh of any kind although I do have omelets and quiche.
I have no problem eating anything that is in the shape of an animal or fish. I have no problem reading books and stories to my nephews that have to do with animals. I do have strong problems with breading, slaughtering and eating animals. But I am a big junk food junkie and would never turn away from anything no matter what shape it was in. Have you ever seen a chocolate hart? I mean an anatomically correct solid chocolate heart? If you ate that would that mean you were a cannibal??? Actually that's another good philosophical question!!!!

I think smart vegetarians could choose to eat anything whose list of ingredients meet their criteria. Only a dumb one would think that animal crackers are more than images.
Maybe there is a market that is being unmet for "non-animal" crackers that only show items that would thrill a vegetarian.

Maybe you should re-phrase your question: Do animals eat vegetarian crackers?
Pets do. Cows eat wheat grass all day long. They are absolute vegetarians and people eat beef all their lives, often ultimately getting ill from such an unhealthy diet. Then they have to eat wheat grass to heal their bodies, the very substance that cattle eat to grow and mature.
Go figure the irony of it all.

This question has been asked by so many people and we know it can't actually be a serious question. Are crackers animals??

No. And when they catch another person eating one of those poor, defenseless little animal...crackers.. they snatch them out of their hands and stomp on the cracker, saying, "Bad! Don't Eat Animal! Shame!".
Afterwards, they look at the pile of animal..crumbs.. and cry.

Come on - do you think that animal crackers are made out of real camels and sheep? No. I would think that would eat them.
