Bypass surgery is where they take a vein from another part of your body and graft it where you had a clogged artery. The most common bypass you hear about is heart bypass where they bypass the clogged arteries with the veins they took from other parts of your body. They also do this in the legs if those arteries are clogged. Your lifestyle after surgery is greatly improved as you have should have less chest discomfort or less leg pain and numbness from the clogged arteries. My dad had heart bypass surgery several years ago (quad Bypass) in June and by August he took his 2 grandchildren out on the lake in a peddle boat for a poker run. This should tell you that bypass surgery improves your life.

Weight loss surgery-like gastric bypass /lap band surgery / stomach stapling and gastrectomy have become very common and very safe now. My cousin got her Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgery in India. She has lost more than 65 lbs in 5 months and is very happy with the results. The price for obesity surgery is very less in India. My cousin just paid 25% of the cost she was quoted in America. She got her surgery from a company called Forerunners Healthcare.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines. I have read a lot of their patient stories also. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low cost, as bariatric surgery and weight loss surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that your Obesity surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

From what I understand, bypass surgery can be explained like this. Think of a garden hose, this will represent one of the blood vessels that carry blood to your heart. Inside that hose, picture a golf ball getting stuck on the inside, blocking the flow of water. Now picture taking a small piece of hose and attaching it to either side of the golf ball in the original hose, restoring the flow of water. Doctor will tell you about physical exertion post-op...I don't know the effects.

it means a blockage of one pipe line so insert a another pipeline which bypasses that specific block so the blood supply will remain same to the heart.gen rally it does not affect UAR lifestyle,if it diagnosed in early stage (before heat attack placed, means schema of heart i.e.i.h.d.)otherwise some restriction will be there like exercise, diet habit, daily afternoon relaxation, more medicine,no heavy work etc.
