You are not too young to have a heart attack.

Especially because you note that you are prescribed blood pressure medicine.. which is an associated risk, and leads me to think there may be other factors (hereditary) involved also.

You should call 911 and be transported by an ambulance to the hospital.

If you are uncomfortable with this, call the ER and ask to talk with the Triage Nurse. The Nurse will best advise you.

Have a friend or family member drive you to the hospital.

At the very least, you will receive more blood pressure medicine, and assurance that you are okay.

Good luck & Be Well :-)

I know alot of people think you have to be old to have a heart attack but it is not true. It is not your age but the way your body is made and your life style. I was 19 when I had one but it was due to a major allergic reaction to a medication. But it can happen so so many differant reasons. If you already have high blood preasure and you are not comfortable with how you are feeling you need to go to the Hospital ASAP. Worst case they tell you all you need to do is relax, but they would problem give you the medication you are out of to help get things back to normal. Never second guess your self when it comes to your health, after all you know you better than any one else.

No one is too young to have a heart attack especially with a history of High Blood Pressure. Call a triage nurse or a nurse help line as soon as you can to describe the symptoms and obtain advice. If it were me, I would go to the ER immediately. Better safe than sorry! Best of luck!

I would advise you to call your local emergency room and see what they advise you. You can have a heartattack at any age, especially if you have some risk factors like Ovbesity, Family History of early Heartdisease, smoking, High Bloodpressure, Diabetes just to name a few. If you have any doubt , go to the ER or if bad enough call 911.

I would say no you aren't too young, I work in an ER and there was a 23 year old that came in as heart code a few nights ago. He wasn't overweight and he wasn't on drugs either. He had to have an emergency heart cath done.
