Here are three typical Indian menus

Muglai lamb with turnips (shabdeg)
Mushroom pulau (Khumbi pullao)
Spicy green beans (masaledar seen)
Yogurt with cucumber and mint (Kheera karaito)

Shrimp in dark sauce (Rasedar jhinga)
Boiled Basmati rice (Basmati chaval)
Cauliflower with potatoes (Phool gobi aur alao ki bhaji)
Tomato onion and green coriander relish (calcumber)

Black-eyed peas with mushrooms (Lobhia aur khumbi)
Cauliflower with onion and tomatoes (Phool gobi ki bhaji)

Frequently used Indian culinary terms:

Thali – assorted vegetables with rice, bread, papadams, vinegar
Makhni gravy – onion, tomato and masala
White gravy – khurma (boiled onion and cashew paste)

Murg zaffrani biriyani – biriyani style chicken with saffron rice. Served with raita
Raita – diluted spiced yogurt with chopped cucumber. May contain a few drops of oil.

I love most chicken and lamb curry, yogurt salad with fresh ginger, curried green beans, tofu,just about any veggie that's been curried as well and papid, have to have it. I some times make a holiday dinner of just curry's its really different and good change.

I love Matar Paneer and I think that the dish with Cauliflower and potatoes and other veggies in a yellowish sauce is pretty darn good.
