How about a veggie tray...or a cheese and coldcut tray...or maybe some sandwiches...chicken salad maybe...ummm...u could also try some kind of snack mix...like chex...oh and don't forget maybe some cupcakes or muffins...easier than cake ...cake was always more messier and have to use more plates and eating utensils...try some of that...good luck....and that is so nice to think of ur teacher! u would get an A from me!

Get as many people as possible to sign up to bring other finger food (pot luck), stuff that doesn't require so much utensils and people keep munching & mingling
Trader Joes has lots of options if there is one nearby or
veggies & dip
mini burritos
chicken wings
pizza
mini corn dogs
Don't overwork yourself, or you will be too tired to enjoy the party.

try buying thoes platters at superstore, safeway, costco...
fruit, veggie, deli, meat lovers, cheese platters and nice.
and a ring of shrimp x)
torillas w/ dip is also tasty.
for drinks, have juice or soda.
thoes chicken strips/nuggets are also good...try getting finger food and easy clean up/prepare food.

if you're gonna have cake don't get cookies, or the reverse.

good luck and hope your teacher cheers up :)

if you're a costco member, they have nice party platters.

safeway also makes party trays, such as sandwiches.

you also need some dip for those chips.
