my mother has congestive heart failure which is worse now shortness of breath very tired doctors have given her meds and say there is no more to do she is also losing wetght very rapid 144 to 112 in a month she is also diabetic prognosis is grim explian

i know a lady that died from that also, she was losing weight very fast too. she passed out one day and her daughter found her the same day, took her to the e.r. and she died 3 days later. good luck to you all.i wish you the best.

Diabetes should be strictly controlled. Echocardiography should be done and see whether there is valve defects such as mitral valve /tricuspid valve regurgitation (back flow of the blood). If there is pedal edema and cardiac asthma, the patient should be admitted to the hospital for better care and treatment.
