the dr said i have gardnerella he said it will go away in 7days but i would like to know will this stay with me forever?

it will not stay with you forever, you just have to take your meds as ordered, if you notice discharge at a later date (usually worse after your period-due to your ph levels) go back to the gyn. this is basically bacterial vaginosis, and you may not have contracted it from your ex. make sure you keep yourself clean, wipe front to back, no douching, ease up on the tampon use, or make sure you take them out on time, and all that good stuff.

This organism with others is a common cause of vaginitis in women. It usually does not involve men, but if the infection of the woman recurs after treatment, the man may be treated as a carrier.

garnerella is bacterial infection

treated by metronidazole 500mg twice daily for 7 days

it is completely treated by drugs taken properly no residual infection remains

it will go away use the medicine and please use condoms don't belive nobody when they say your the only one!!!! BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY. CAUSE NEXT TIME IT COULD BE MORE THAN GARDNERELLA. IT COULD BE AIDS

Apply vinegar twice daily, its natures antiseptic.
