I drink loads of diet coke and have sciatica could that be related?

It seems that not everyone read that you drink diet Coke, Tricia.
One thing to bear in mind is that diet drinks have more synthetic sweeteners, which does not bode well for diabetics. Too much can have a laxative effect.
One other thing, I believe Coke uses aspartame as a sweetener. There are some doctors in the United States making a living out of telling people how disparaging aspartame is ... to anyone and everyone.

I dont think one things has to do w/ the other...however coke has caffeiene wich affects the central nervous system i believe...in other words you might not be doing your sciatica any harm w/ coke...but you aren't doing it any good either...

not in any way that i know of. ask your gp if unsure or phone coca cola helpline. sciatica is a trapped nerve so i don't think anything ingested would effect this

I dont think so. For the caffine in Coke to have any effect you would have to drink it by the barrel full!

It would be best to stay away from concentrated sugar in ANY form,
especially addictive Coke.
