Don't know about that but in two years your joints may be v. painful and they never mention that when they put you on them. Read my question on statins and the effects and some of the answers I got.

everything effects your blood sugar,what u eat,stress, diet, exercise,nightmares,etc.......
so, the answer to your question is yes. any kind of medication taken can effect your blood sugar.
just a precaution to let u know that any medication ending in "zone" is a steroid and will make your blood sugar go up for weeks at a time and u should not accept this for treatment unless its the last resort.
HI blood sugars lasting too long over a period of time will cause u to go into ketoacidocis which will cause u to eventually have a heart attack if left untreated.
another thing is since u know that your blood sugar is HI in the morning then while u are taking this medication try increasing your insulin by 1unit every 3days until u have stopped taking this medicine.
however, I'm not a Dr and if u feel like u need to contact your Dr for suggestion from him then u should do so.
if this were happening to my son or husband this is the coarse of action that i would take for them.

I don't think that should be the case. To control your sugar, make sure you eat whole grains and vegetables and some fruits. Walking reduces the sugar also.

No it cannot make your sugar/glucose level go up. If you are already a diabetic then it may be interfering with how your diabetes medicine works.
