A vegetarian eats things that have both eggs and dairy, just no meat.
A vegan is a vegetarian that will not eat or use any animal products: no eggs, no dairy, no honey ... only things that are from plants and animals didn't make. They also won't wear wool or use any product that has bi-products in it that come from animals... basically everything from soap to clothes to food has to be simply plant-based.

Veganism (also known as strict vegetarianism or pure vegetarianism) is a philosophy and lifestyle that avoids using animals and animal products for food, clothing and other purposes. In practice, a vegan (an adherent of veganism) commits to the abstention from consumption or use of animal products, including meat, fish, poultry, honey, eggs and dairy products, as well as articles made of fur, wool, bone, leather, feathers, pearls, nacre, coral, sponges and other materials of animal origin. Many vegans also avoid products that have been tested on animals.

Vegetarianism is the practice of not consuming meat, with or without the use of other animal derivatives, such as dairy products or eggs. Some people choose to refrain from wearing clothing derived from animals, such as leather and fur. Veganism, in particular, excludes all animal products from diet and attire, whether or not this involves the actual death of an animal (dairy, eggs, honey, down feathers and silk). Vegetarians are found in countries across the world with varied motivations including religious, ethical, environmental, and health concerns.

Traditionally a Vegetarian does not eat meat, but will still eat animal products (cheese, milk, eggs (sometimes), fish (sometimes), etc. A Vegan does not eat any animal products at all.

Vegan are the like alqaida of vegetarianism.

Like they are ultra ultra anti meat or animal products. No milk cheese for them, it is from animal origin.

Normal vegetarians are like moderates, they won't pounce on you for eating cheese.

Vegans - eat only plant material - not animal flesh nor products
Vegetarians - eat plant material but also eggs , milk and other dairy products (because of this they can also be called : ovo-lacto-vegetarians.)
Good luck with your store.

Vegetarians may eat eggs and milk, maybe fish.

Vegans eat nothing made from an animal.

4th level vegans eat nothing that casts a shadow (according to the Simpsons).

LOL...yeah, this guy who says it's the same thing, like "neocon" for "conservative"...wrong on both counts.
