If you're young, thin, and female---chances are that you're anemic and you probably have low blood pressure.

Chewing ice is a symptom of anemia, not a treatment. It's either the body's way of trying to replace minerals, or an odd craving caused by low iron. Being short of breath is a sign of anemia as well. If your periods are heavy, you may also find that by the second or third day, the blood loss causes your ears to ring.

Sounds like it's time to see the doc for a complete blood count--including hemoglobin and hematocrit--and maybe see how your thyroid is functioning, too.

you need to go to the doctor. You could be anemic, low iron. Try to take a good multi vitamin like Nature Made. Exercise to get the blood circulating. Drink pleanty of water, you could be dehydrated. Have you been tested for diabeties? Have the doctor do a complete blood work on you.

Check out www.hufa.org. The shortness of breath may be a symptom of low blood sugar. I cannot remember if I was always cold, before I started balancing my blood sugar - because my short term memory was horrible before I was diagnosed with low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). The symptoms link may help you understand what low blood sugar can cause, in humans.

Are you a diabetic? Do you smoke? Both things can contribute to poor circulation, resulting in feeling cold all the time.
