So I'm trying to quit smoking and I recently just started taking Zyban. I've heard good things about it, but am wondering if it really helps you quit? Any suggestions from you would help. I've tried the patch, gum, and cold turkey. Nothing works. Have you had any success with Zyban and if so, did you do anything else to help you quit?

I have used it for 8 weeks and am off smoking completely and so is my wife since 2 weeks.

In the begging I had serious sleeping problems but was not tired during the day so that was odd.

i found it also cuts cravings like eating chips and computer addition (but maybe thats just me) weird stuff indeed !

i have used zyban , it works the first day you start . it is totally amazing, you don't even think of a cigarette, i also used the patch for the physical withdrawls. the only problem i found with zyban, is it is actually antidepressant, and after about one month , the depression sets in, and you go on an emotional roller coaster. so try to take it for just a short while, not the 3 months they normally put you on. if you are not depressed it will work the opposite.

I tried Zyban and I hated it. It made me feel sick. I had a constant metallic taste in my mouth and I got the shakes, it kind of felt like I was on speed but not. Everyone is different though and you might not react the way I did. I would suggest you talk to your doctor about it, you'll need to to get the prescription anyway.
Good luck.

Hey my good friend has taken zyban and it cut his cravings for the smokes! It can make you a bit irritable to begin with but you will settle down after a couple of weeks.. I fully endorse the product!!

I've seen a fair amount of success with it, but also some failure. There is a new drug chantix and that is pretty expensive , I think retail is around $150 if your insurance doesn't cover it. you may also wanna get this thing called i believe quik-key... what it is, is a small computer that slowly weans you off cigarettes. remember you can' t be perfect but if you have a good support group/person and obviously want to quit that is the bulk of it. Avoid the nasal spray burns like hell.

If you can play a little mind game with yourself and get through 3 days of not smoking it gets a lot easier, Then after 3 days you are dealing with the physical addition so find a hobby to do to keep your hands busy
