Today my doctor told me I have molluscum, but she didn't take a sample or do a test, she just told me that I had it based on seeing it and feeling it. Can I trust in this diagnosis even though a test was not done? Also, she told me to just wait it out instead of treating it. Is this a good idea?

Also it doesn't look as bad as the pictures that I found of molluscum on the internet. Those pictures look about 50 times worse. That's what causes me to somewhat doubt what she told me, yet the symptoms seem to match up i suppose.

I have no idea what that is, but like with anything, if you feel you need a second opinion then go get it. It's your health and we all know doctors aren't right all the time.

Please see the webpages for more details and images on Molluscum contagiosum. You may obtain second medical opinion on the subject.

You should probably get a second opinion because otherwise it could get worse.
