Check with the pharmacist. There are medications that come in "sprinkles" that you could add to his/her favorite food.

If the child is always congested, have you considered food allergies?

Sounds like it could be a milk allergy, you could try using goats milk. Children should be introduced to water early in life since it is the only fluid that prevents dehydration. You need to find the cause of the congestion before it leads to more serious problems like asthma, bronchitis or pnenomia.

If your 2 year old is not drinking any fluids he or she may be dehydrated and you should see his or her pediatrician immediately and watch to see if he or she is pee ing because if he or she is not pee ing then you have to get them to the hospital right away and you might want to take him or her to the doctor anyways just to be on the safe side will he or she take a pop cycle if so try one of the pedialyte popcycles ok hope the little one gets better soon hope i could help it wasnt much but just give him or her lots of love and hopefully soon he or she will snap out of it and be good as new very soon hope everything works out ok

Who is in control you, or the child? When I told my children they had to take medication they did what I said. If you do not become the one in charge now, you never will be. You can say things like "drink your water then you may get down from your high chair" or "as soon as you take this medication we will read a story". Please make sure the child is receiving proper medical attention, not drinking fluids is a major problem and can lead to death.

I'd suggest one of these products...

No medicine for a child to swallow or drink. Good luck and hope your child gets better soon!

BTW...If your child isn't taking in fluids, you need to try to coax them to take in Pedialyte. See your child's pediatrician if that doesn't work. Dehydration in kids is serious, and can lead to dire health consequences or death. It can happen quickly, so do not wait.
