Strange as this may sound, it WORKS!!! My grandmother has been asthmatic all her life, with frequent visits to the emergency et all. These people who give you this medicine in the mouth of a small live fish live in hyderabad in india and have been doing this for many generations. One of the forefathers is said to have gotten this medicine from a sage and the family has been preparing it ever since. You are supposed to go to hyderabad once every year (at a particular time of the year) for 3 years in a row. I went with my grandmother one year, and you won't beleive this, I saw people of all races , from all over the world waiting in long, long lines, (it happens only for 3 days every year) There were people from america, europe, everywhere.... i had never seen such a crowd before. Anyway, coming to the point, when your turn comes, they push in a tiny LIVE fish with a yellow ball of medicine in it's mouth right down your throat. You close your eyes and just swallow it, and they tell you what foods to avoid and things like that till you come back and see them the next year. My gran went for 3 years and she is completely asthma free now and has never been to the hospital even once. They do it for free, they say they want to help people and do not charge you a penny. They are 5 brothers now in this generation and the trearment takes place in 5 different locations in hyderabad, once every year. People in india beleive that only alternative medicine can cure a disease, all allopathic medicines just have a temporary effect.

Huh??? That sounds like a urban legend. How would a fish, after being swallowed be able to do much of anything. They can't breathe and they're heading straight to the stomach to be digested. If you find any information to support your question, I'd love to read it.
