So..I have little bumps down there..they are not actually inside my vag**a but they are around. They come and go. I shave, but they dont look like the usual bumps. They are really small and have white dots on them. Could it be Herpes? Do herpes come and go constantly if not treated? or do they go away for a while and come back? do they itch or hurt? HELP

Sounds like it could be just little pimples that can form on your skin. Especially if they are in the area that you shave, that is likely what they are. The white on them and the fact that they come and go is what makes me believe that. If you are concerned... definately go see a doctor.

Herpes do come and go. Do a google image search on genital herpes to see what they look like.

There are specific symptoms and signs associated with genital herpes, but there are a lot of differences in symptoms between individuals. Many people have symptoms so mild that they do not really notice them at all. Others won’t know unless they know exactly what to look for. Other people do not have any symptoms.[1]

Some symptoms and signs of genital herpes:[1,5]

* Sores, which can be different sizes: from 1 mm to greater than 2 cm in diameter
* Raw, painful or itchy area, similar to “chafing”, on a specific location on the genitals
* Redness and/or swelling in a specific location on the genitals
* Tiny blisters filled with a clear or whitish fluid that eventually burst, scab and heal. The sores are not very deep; they are on the skin’s surface. Blisters are mostly seen in men or on thicker skin in either men or women. They are not seen under the foreskin, on the two inner folds of tissue (also called lips) around the female vaginal opening, in the perineal area (between the vagina or penis and the anus) or area around the anus. In these thinner-skinned areas, sores generally begin with chafing or rawness and skip the blister stage
* Before an outbreak, many people experience tingling, itchiness or burning in the genital area – the prodrome
* Sometimes nerve pain in the buttocks or down the leg is the only noticeable symptom of genital herpes
* Symptoms that most often occur during a primary outbreak:
o Discharge from the vagina
o Pain while urinating or difficulty passing urine or emptying the bladder
o Swollen glands, especially the groin lymph nodes located in the front of the body where the legs meet the pelvis
o Fever, headache with eye pain or discomfort when in the light, and flu-like symptoms, like tiredness and muscle aches

If you DO have herpes, start taking L-Lysine 1000mg three times a day with meals until they go away. Then take 500mg a day. If it is herpes, you will always have it. The lysine will keep it from breaking out if you take it every day. Get it at your health food store. For more info: http://alternative-medicine-and-health.com/conditions/herpes.htm

It probably not herpes. What you are describing sound like diaper rash hon. lol. Believe it or not women can/do get yeast infections that affect the surrounding skin of the vagina and don't result in cottage cheese like discharge.

If it is herpes NO it can not be cured, but it can be treated when outbreaks occur. Herpes does not look the way you are discribing your sores. Herpes are kind of like cold sores. they are painful and cause ulcerations with glossy white surrounding really red flesh.

Go to your OBGYN. She'll help you and will probably give you an antifungal cream to treat your infection.

Herpes usually looks like little small miniature like blisters. Your best bet is to get to a doctor pronto and get that checked out. Yes, herpes can come and go, and there can be pain before an outbreak. Ease your mind and make an appoinment. 30 different opinions on here problably won't help your peace of mind. Good luck.

Normal. My daughter did that for a while around 8 months to 2 years. I don't know how often she does it now but I just told her as she gets older that she should do it in private in her bedroom and that Mommy and Daddy will knock if she's quiet in there. It seems to have worked. My son is 13 months and whenever the diaper comes off it's party time! He's been doing that since he was about 6 months. He likes to take off his diaper and sit there grabbing himself. We just ignore his giggling LOL

Look up molluscum contagiosum (not sure on the spelling). I've seen those before, and your description sounds similar. BUT it could be anything from herpes, to dry skin, to warts... best to get it checked. Go see your ob/gyn while the bumps are there.

Best of luck!

I would think they're razor burns, or heat+moisture related... If they itch and have a foul smell then go to the gynecologist. I guess the question is, are you sexually active? Warts don't come and go by themselves, they need treatment to keep the outbreak low.

could be herpes or hpv both can cause outbreaks both need treatment too, so you would be better off going to the Dr and getting it checked out
