Dukalink6000 has said it best so far. Wine is an ESSENTIAL part of a pasta dinner. Depending on what meat you're including, the type of wine is significant. Since most of my pasta meals are with chicken or turkey, I might focus toward a lighter wine, such as a White Zinfandel. If you're focusing more on beef, then a merlot or chianti is a great choice. Even a whiter whine goes well with something like chicken spagetti. It sounds like all your answers are covering your subject well, and a good wine is very important. They're not expensive either, so anyone can bring a bottle. Bon Appetit!! God Bless you.

Eat 5 small no carb or very very low carbs meals a day, together with that exercise and you can lose the 20. No promises of it staying off though. Skipping meals will not cause you to lose the weight you want AND will insure it comes back on immediately.

A good red wine. Not necessarily a chianti, but perhaps a zin or a merlot.
What about dessert? A zabligioni?
