They are high in calories and carbs---try using whole wheat bread once in a while.

They can not harm your stomach unless you count that as additional fat. It is high in calories and has sugar and sodium but I too love white bread but have switched to wheat bread for better health. But the white bread maybe once a week or twice a week cant harm you. So you just have to miss out on your white bread for a limited time each week.... :)

Any bread made with white flour is not great for you. Change over to whole wheat breads and you will be getting the whole grains your body needs.

Breads convert to sugar in your body and can feed any yeast content you have in your body.

I too adore all white breads and with age have developed serious wheat allergies.
