They're vanishing from our shops here in London - a bit of a disaster for our family. Anyone know what's going on? Are any supermarkets still selling them? Thanks for your help.

While I can't directly answer about your situation in the UK I can tell you that in the US sales of the product have fallen off dramatically since information about the 'mega-corp' that actually owns/makes the food came out. From what I recall (can't find a weblink to it) they are made in plants that also process meats, the organic content was much lower than advertised and much higher in fats, salt than listed and just not as 'natural' as other US options (like Amy's).
With the drop in sales grocers naturally stopped carrying the products in favor of better sellers. I would ***/u/me the situation is similar in the UK.

It was reported in the Newspapers some time ago that there
was a lot of Fat in some Products, i think it was Nut lunch or
Nut crunch i am not sure, may be thats the reason why. I
tasted some of her Veggie Burgers when i was on my Vegetarian
Sojourn years ago and they were alright. I have not noticed them
myself in Dublin Supermarkets like Tesco,or Supervalue.

I know everywhere seems to be taken over by the evil Quorn!

The Salisbury's near me in Forest Hill still has some stuff as does the Morrison's in Shepherds Bush. Iceland seems to be pretty good still and much cheaper than anywhere else. You can get most of the meals for a pound!

They are still up here in the North East - perhaps they are offloading them onto us.
I can' t personally stand the range as the products tend to be quite fatty and many of my friends agree as well.
This is of no offence to the late Linda McC - I just prefer other veggie foods, that's all.
Have you tried your CoOp, by the way? Morrisons also still do them.

There are Linda McCartney food products in most supermarkets in London so i'd try your local supermarket. Holland and Barrett also stock them.

My local Tescos still sells a limited range, but I think they are pushing their own brand veggie food rather than encouraging choice and variety - what a surprise! Try an independent health food store - they might be able to order them for you if they don't stock them.

I found them yesterday in the store owned by the people who sponsor this section of the site S@@@@b@@@'s. They still had the Country Pies too which are my favourite.

Good luck in your search - I think you need to look in the big chain supermarkets.

I think there were reports that the food wasn't that healthy despite being meat-free.

It's a while since I've seen any advertising either, but apparently it's still going strong.

Have you got access to Farm Food stores? They seem to pop up in here... occasionally but a regular supply seems almost impossible to get.

There are stores at Walthamstow, Stratford and IIford.

I wish I knew; Plymouth doesnt appear to have any source at all. Sainsburys do really nice veggie stuff, but everything veggie seems to be stuffed full of fat, sugar and salt, none of which I can have and I cant afford M&S
