Yes, a bad juvenile diabetic female on a pump can have children if she does the following things!

Before Her Pregnancy
- she knows how to monitor her blood sugar.
- she has a normal blood sugar for six months before conception and during the entire pregnancy.
- she is at her ideal body weight both before and during pregnancy.
- she has to take care of her, an obstetrician with experience in managing diabetic pregnancies, her diabetes doctor, a dietician, a nurse educator, and in the last month of pregnancy a pediatrician
- she has her baby at a well-equipped hospital with up-to-date testing and monitoring facilities.

During Pregnancy
- she monitors carefully her blood and urine sugar more frequently than usual.
- she controls her diet. Snacks will be required in addition to the 3 regular meals.
- she keeps her blood sugar normal by taking the correct amount of insulin. In early pregnancy, the need for insulin may go down but in later pregnancy it will go up.
- she watches for the presence of ketones in the urine.

- ultrasound
- amniocentesis
- non-stress test
- stress test

- she keeps emergency snacks since her insulin need will decrease.

yes but i recommend this person becoming a good diabetic first. You should be under control before getting pregnant. The pump will help with this. Today most pregnant type 1 women are encouraged to go on the pump. My friend also a type 1 only used her pump during her pregnancies, I got type 1 when my kids were 7 & 5 so I didn't have this problem.

yes just try to get your blood sugar under control while your pregnant Ive got 2 kids and was put on the pump to have them and my oldest is also diabetic and just had her 1st daughter good luck!
