Ok a few days ago i had to due a "quick" shave "down there". I didn't have access to a brand new razor so i used my old one. IT wasn't like it was in bad shape, but i think it was a little dull. I now have sores on my vagina. Some are just red bumps, others are pus filled. They hurt when i pee, touch, or all together. I have only had one partner, and we have been sexually together for over a year, and together for over 2. He has had 3 partners, but no know outbreaks or sypmtoms of any STD's. The sores are extremly painful. Am i just experiencing a BAD case of razor burn/ingrown hairs, or could it be something more. I don't want to go see a doctor if i am overreacting. I know that if they don't get better in the next day or so i will make an appointment. Please help.Any info is good.

Genital herpes is an std. If your friend has ever had oral or regular sex before then there is a good chance that it could be herpes. Herpes causes very itchy, sore, tingly symptoms along with raised blisters or open cuts on the genitals. He may also have swollen genitals and or burning when he pees or mild flu like symptoms. Herpes out breaks specially in men can be very mild so that it can be excused for some thing else. It sounds like herpes to me. razor burn isn't usually sore, just itchy and if he doesn't shave on the base of his penis then I doubt that it's razor burn. Scabies is more like sore peeling skin. If he hasn't had any kind of sexual activity preformed on him then I doubt that this is genital herpes. He does need to go to the doctor, they can probably get a more definitive answer then we can on here.

I would suggest going to the Dr. just to be safe, but more than likely it's just razor burn and some zits, yes you can get them down there too. Using a bad razor that might have been dirty could have caused the zits, which is why you have pus comin from some of them.

If you pop these "Zits" and it turns into a lil sore that heals then wait a few weeks and if the same thing comes back again then you prolly have Herpes (if you are trying to avoid the doc) Herpes won't kill you but it is not curable ... good thing is that after years of having it you can have hardly any symptoms at all after time, although you can always spread it ... medicine is available ... but not a cure , good luck!

You should go see a doctor. It could be an STD or an infection. One thing about shaving with razors- don't ever lie them face down on the sink, bathtub, whatever. This can allow bacteria to grow/gather on the blade and increase the risk of razor rash, infection, etc. Instead lie them face (blade side) up or in a cup with the blade side not having any contact with any surface.
