I take lisinopril 40 mg high blood pressure medication for 10 years and my face is getting darker & darker?

I find it interesting you are having darkening of the skin. Is this medication any way linked to a beta blocker? My mother used lumigan( which is a beta blocker) for glucoma. One of the side effects of this drug is darkening of the pigments of the eye and also the area around they eye. The lashes may become darker as well. This is not reversable according to the imformation I studied in regards to my mother. She wasn't using this medication for a long enough time to see this effect. She was nearly blinded by it within 6 months. You could actually see the cells building on her eye. Her reaction to this was a very harsh one. She felt like she had sand in her eye the whole time. I will have to check your meds out and see if I can find a link there as far a blood pressure meds. I believe anything is possible with the meds. Be concerned about yourself cuzz the other answer was not being fair. Vanity is real and so are drug reactions. I have a paralized left side on my mother from medications in a hospital. Of course they won't confirm that but I saw it happen.
I'm very curious now about your medication and will be looking at it as well as all the drugs they pump in my mother. Dark skin is attractive though. I'm a freckle face. Tee Hee

Absolutely no connection.
causes of darkening of the skins are few including
Hemochromatosis & Addison's disease.
or may be its just constitutional.
Stop finding excuses for darkening of your skin & think about something else.
Its NOT important AT ALL what we look like from outside, its the inside that matters 100%, you dont want to be with somebody who wants you for what you look like.
dont stop the Lisinopril because its a good medication.

I've never heard of such a side effect from lisinopril. If concerned, speak with your MD.
