the virus has its on built in defense mech. it monitors the brain for danger meds then hides until cost is clear?intellingence. it will dupicate then ambush the cells little at a time until overpowers human mech, after that its death. ibelieve its monitoring the brain for danger and does whatever it does until coast is clear. is it possible weve had the cure 100 times and were outsmarted by the virus itself ?this ibelieve what is it that some meds get through were others dont could it be that the cure has been found and the virus hid untio the body was cleansed out coast clear back to work . Ilost abrother and dont care if you think inuts whats realy nut is a desease that is intellengent as this one . it may take anut to hatch this problem as the answer may be right in front of us instead of 1000 sheets in the sky. were looking over the simplicity of the problem while the answer may be here and gone?

This is how it works.

Viruses can't think, but their simplistic nature, high reproductive rate and lack of anti-mutation defenses (your genes are well-sheilded inside a structure called a nucleus) allows them to evolve counters to anything biotech throws at them in a short amount of time. Your problem is related to why they have to use a different flu vaccine each year.

As for monitoring your brain, don't worry. There is this thing called the blood-brain barrier that keeps all but the smallest molecules from actually reaching it. Viruses are tiny, but most are not quite that tiny.

As for ambushing cells a few at a time, viruses don't need to do that. One virus is all it takes to kill a cell: two is overkill. Its like some bad horror movie: the virus latches onto the target cell and pumps it full of virus genes. A short while later, new viruses come out of the cell. Have you ever seen Aliens, where the creature comes out of the dude's stomach? Like that, only microscopic. Also, each cell can give birth to hundreds of new and fully functional viruses.

HIV has evolved an ingenous strategy of killing the helper T cells first. These are the "generals" of the immune system that make decisions about what to kill and how to kill it, calling on cytotoxic T cells (riot police used to quell cancer and viruses), and B cells (pump out chemicals to stick to and destroy invaders).

HIV is also a bit of a conniseur; it only eats helper T cells. However, the body is almost defenseless without the guidance of helper T cells. A common cold can kill an infected person. Cancers that would ordinarily have been identified and destroyed long before they were visible to an X-ray grow unchecked. Without this one type of cell, there is no hope for the body.
