My sweetheart from Hong Kong likes this stuff called Jok - it's pin rice soup and is like a rice porridge or rice grits. He puts chicken or chinese sausage in at as well as those weird thousand year duck eggs. He likes it, but I think it smells a little rancid.

Dim Sum one of best breakfast u can get, so many choice is not typical waffle and omerate there's more than hundren dim sum dish just for breakfast !

Depending on the region you are in, it ranges from congee and noodles to soya milk with fried bread to western style eggs and toast. Dim sum is more of a southern specialty.

Tea with dim sum, would be the most common.
However, China is a very huge country so there would be variations in the Regions.

Probably congee with those chinese deepfried flour thing that looks like doughnut sticks.
Dim sum is popular too, I'm sure, and noodles like wantan noodles could be common breakfast items over there
