Basically the heart is a pump so there are two ways in which it can be damaged. The muscular part which does the pumping can become diseased. The tubes through which the blood flows can weaken and leak or furr up and slow the blood flow. Will that do?

You can get hipertension, which is high blood pressure.. And that can lead to a lot of other diseases, like diabetes, kidney failure, heart attack, clogged arteries, high cholesterol..
The best way to prevent this, is to have a healthy diet, and excercise..
