If you have genital herpes, have you ever had an extremely painful outbreak? Such as, severe pain in your legs, back of thigh or lower back? Especially the lower back to the point where it is almost unbearable to walk? Did your breakouts get worse, more frequent or more painful side effects over time? If you took medications what helped? I have osteo-arthritis, I have heard that that can make the breakouts worse. I have at least two breakouts per month. I can't seem to find much info online, just the same thing over and over. Thanks.

Actually new stories say that HSV1 can also be gotten smaller genitally and vice-versa. When you have been identified did the document do a variety-scan...or did they only say sure you've got herpes??? I might get variety demonstrated if the latter is correct. Though those viruses are extraordinary it isn't via so much, that is why they convey the equal title and feature the equal therapies. There are countless herpes zosters--some thing like 10+ adding Bells Palsy and Shingles. Make certain your document knew what they have been speakme approximately. Not many medical professionals are experts within the STD area--and with some thing untreatable it is a little formidable to any one who is used to having a therapy. Also, in a healthful frame with very little strain HSV lies dormant till a few strain/ailment factors it to rear its unsightly head. It IS viable that you've got had HSV for years and no longer identified it. I have had it for virtually 10 yrs now, and regardless that I recognize in which it got here from, that character swears that they don't have it, nor have they ever had signs. (I haven't any intent to not feel him--we're nice peers and percentage a little one in combination.) Look into asymptomatic losing.

Although my outbreaks arent as severe as yours, i do know of others who get the pain in their lower backs, backs of thighs etc...the pain and frequency over time does subside in most cases. There are medications you can take that do help minimise outbreaks such as aciclovir, valaciclovir and famciclovir. If you take medication for the osteoarthritis i guess you should check if you can take these.
Im not sure which country you are from, im from oz, this is an aussie website you can look at which has heaps of info www.livingsphere.com, you can also sign up and browse thru the postings on the forum or ask questions...also, go to this link
http://au.groups.yahoo.com/group/herpeshangout/
where you can do the same. The best info is available thru forums i have found.
Also you need to find out what works for you and what doesnt ie: food or drink triggers, stress, lack of sleep. Hope any of this helps. Im really not sure about the link between herpes and osteoarthritis but it wouldnt surprise me if the osteoarthritis brought on outbreaks, you will be amazed at what can trigger them. Everybody is different.

Herpes is a viral infection that will not go away... though it does go dormant... but with the initial infection you could expect a flu like illness along with the outbreak in the area that was infected ... ie lips, private areas... the first outbreak is usually the worst and goes away in about 2 weeks or so. If one does not have a suppressant of some sort they could expect more outbreaks thoughout the years to come. best wishes and always wear a raincoat when out to play in the rain :)

Ask your Dr. about Valtrex.

See, this is what kids don't know when they have premarital sex. It should be a warning to them.
