just expand your network a little bit.....you'd be surprised how much opportunity in life comes from 'knowing a guy who knows a guy', so to speak. Lots of times your friends will be invited and bring you along, where you can meet more people, etc. A little bit can go a long way, understand?

Look interested, but not desperate. Mention it, dont hog the topic...look cool and casual. Also, mention other parties you've been to (real or fictional) just so they'll see that you're a party person, and you know how to have a good time.
