My daughter who is 7 just got diagnosed with a heart condition for a rapid heart beat. We were in a car wreck in the beginning of october, and upon going to the ER, the nursed checked her rate & it was 165bpm, and should have only been 90 bmp.
Her heart was working twice as hard, and come to find out she's had it since she was born and I never knew it.
She's now on a beta blocker to slow her heart down for the next year.
If your child has a fast rate tomorrow, you will need to make her an appt to get checked out. It could just be a side effect of the fever, but give her some tylenol, and a cold wash rag and wet her face and hair..to cool her down.

It's always better to be safe than sorry. Make sure you check her rate tomorrow, if it's over 90, it's too high.

after reading your update, you need to take her to the ER.. although 103 is not considered dangerous for children, only for adults, that's still a high fever and she should be seen by a docotr.. She may have an infection.. and yes that is an elevated heart beat too..
Take her in and keep us posted!

Go have her seen by the doctor. By even posting this question someone can turn you in to the children's place, sad but true!!

The fever I would be very concerned about. A fever in a child may bring on a siezure....with the heartbeat being rapid YIKES!

Go get her seen....

The best thing would be to take her to an ER so they can monitor the fever and rapid heartbeat.

God bless you!

Maybe to much medicine? The rapid heart beat might be from the fever, I'd call the emergency room NOW! Or 911

Symptoms of early pregnancy are fatigue, smells may seem stronger, indigestion or upset stomach and frequent urination also. I have never heard of rapid heartbeat though, I would go to the Dr. and get checked out, it could be something serious.

Call your doctor. Ask about alternating ibuprofen and acetamenophin to lower the fever. Sounds to me like the fever is really high.
