On my pubic area, Im affraid its Genital warts... It may be an ingrown hair from shaving. Can someone explain the differ in appearance?

you're such a brave soul to ask! if the bump is not on your inner area it is probably not warts...warts come usually in little patches of bumps as far as i know on your inner area i think they may itch and i dont think they are red just skin color....i could be wrong

If it looks like skin, or is brown in appearance, think warts.
Also, if it looks like a scab, but can't pick it/scratch it, think warts.
Finally, if it looks like a pimple, NOT warts.
If you shaved recently, give it a few days to see if it heals. If it's warts, no biggee. Sure they're a bit of a pain, but everyone else has them, so join the club.
I'll keep my fingers crossed that it's just an ingrown hair.
Either way, don't worry about it too much, and if you do have genital warts, there's still a whole life ahead of you! (Just remember to go to the clinic ASAP if it doesn't go away. Best to get the warts treated early if that's indeed what they are)
EDIT** Let me add something......My Doc said that if there is a hair growing out of it than it's NOT a wart! **

There's not much of a difference between warts and ingrown hairs when you look at them. Only way to know for sure is to go to the doctor and they'll do a test for you.

I would guess that it is just an ingrowing hair - especially if you have no other lumps/bumps. It would be very unusual to just have one wart!
I've enclosed a link to some pictures (they make pretty nasty viewing) but at least you'll be able to compare!

It is probally not genital warts because i just did a research paper on them and they are usually more that one bump and they resemble couliflower or brocolli or something so you're probaly right just a ingrown hair but it it hurst when u rubb the bum it may be a boild

i just had the same thing happen to me....i went to the dr and they said it was an ingrown hair.then mine got infected with staff. ingrown hairs will usually turn to a small pustile whith the ingrown hair in the middle.if you see that DONT PULL it OUT All the way just get some tweezers and pul to where the top of hair is out...or you can get a staff infection warts usually look like warts you would have on your hand

It may be just an ingrown hair.. they usually leave a hard bump around your genital area. Howeber, if you've been having sex without protection i would advise to get it checked out.

ingrown hairs are usually red and sore, plus you may be able to see a hair curled up inside (unless it is very red and you are very blonde)
warts are finger like projections that protrude and are not painful...you may also be thinking of herpes which are red and painful
try the two picture below for herpes and warts...did you partner say anything? you mey need to see an MD or DO for extra help

if you have one or two bumps I would say that you have ingrown hairs or razor bumps

very possible that it is from shaving, but if u sexed recently with unknown than plz check it out with a doctor.
