A fun and festive idea....
Get a small pumkin, open the top, carve the inside out nice and clean.
Make Ranch Dip from a packet.
Put the Dip inside the pumpkin.
Keep cool in the fridge until the potluck starts.
Bring a bag of chips for the dip.
Everyone will LOVE this idea!

Insisting on, and taking on the responsibility of telling them that the food doesn't meet your high personal standards, will only accomplish one thing, and that is making everyone in the company know that you are a self -righteous, immature kid with no tact or consideration for other people's feelings, You would be well advised to find another use of your time, because if you act at work anything like the way you act on Yahoo! Answers I guarantee that they figured this out long ago. Do unto others, young lady.

With all of the casserole or crock pot type foods, a great green salad or cut up fruit would be great. If you decide to head to the grocery for ready made stuff, at least put it nicely into your own containers/ bowls/ pans to show that you made some effort. What's really important though is having fun, so I hope you have a nice dinner and a good time!

You can make lots of things in a crockpot. Did you sign up for a meal? Make meatballs, chowder, stew or chili. A great appetizer is a hot cheese dip with pieces of bread on the side for dipping. You can make that by using 2 cans of Campbell's cheddar soup, 1 can of cream of shrimp or cream of "whatever you like" soup, 2 cups of shredded cheese, like mexican blend or italian blend, and a 1/2 can of beer (it adds a nice flavor and the alcohol cooks out of it). I've made this several times and people go nuts over it. You can also serve hot apple cider in a crockpot too, and it fills the room with an amazing aroma. Have fun at your party.

Try borrowing a friend or family members stove. Or if you have a crock-pot use that to make a hot sausage and cheese type salsa....people where i work love it and you can take it in your crock-pot and plug it back up to keep it nice and hot. Don't forget the tortilla chips.

borrow a friends crock pot...
you can keep food warm in it...
doubles as way to carry and keep food warm enough to prevent
spoilage...
nacho dip... from refried canned beans... sour creme... black olives... guacamole sauce... and a layer of ground cheese works great and if kept cool will not easily spoil... make it in a caserole dish... no cooking needed if use canned refried beans [already cooked]...
or a nice chocolate something would also be good for a sweet tooth soother...
best all round idea... bring ingredients for a great punch mix from someones favorite holiday recipe... mix at the office in a large punchbowl... freeze a ring of holiday colored juice to float in punch bowl and keep it chilled...
may you all have a great time...

You could make a wonderful veggie tray. Maybe finger sandwiches. You could make a soup in the microwave, something spooky and dark. You could do something on bagels or toast. You could even do a tray of crackers and miscellaneous food. Thats Pot Luck!!!!!!, lol
