I hope insurance dollars didn't pay for this. You've got to stop eating and have some self-control.

You can have blood clots whether you've had any surgery or not. You've got to remain active and excercise. Take aspirin or blood thinners if you've got propensities to clotting, (like obesity or peripheral vascular disease, or heart valves) You've got to walk every day, and hopefully do something more strenuous than that.

Take responsibility for being fat. Don't rely upon surgery to fix something for you.

It is possible for a while afterwards. It could be weeks if you aren't keeping active. You need to keep moving, and keep hydrated. That is going to be your best defense.
