I recently had a heart virus that has left me with a low ejection fraction of 15-20%. Has anyone had this same problem, and does the ejection fraction increase with time? I discuss specifics with my cardiologist, but I wanted some real-world experience from someone who deals with the same issue. Thanks!

I believe it was myocarditis, and please tell me how old you are, or the person is that you are explaining. That way I can compare to myself.

I was in the hospital for 26 days, and inpatient P.T. for another week. I have a defibrillator, and am taking Enalapril and Metoprolol for my heart (a beta blocker and an ace inhibitor).
