Both are currently incurable. However, genital warts is caused by the Human Papilloma Virus - certain strains of which can cause cervical cancer in women. There is now a vaccine against HPV. So, I'd say warts are worse, since they can lead to cancer, and as mentioned above, can cause scarring. Still, I'd rather avoid them both.

Personally I'd say warts, I have never heard of someone saying all the things they do about herpes about warts. Warts you can also get rid of herpes just shows up one day and makes you its b*tch till it decides to go away. and when you have HPV you don't have to get warts unlike HSV where your going to have an outbreak. But unfortunately neither can be cured. Also it doesn't create an awkward moment when a HPV commercial come on the way it does when Valtrex does. Althogh I don't recall herpes causing cancer.

High risk strains of HPV *can* cause cervical, vulvar, vaginal, and anal dysplasia/cancer in women, so I consider it worse. Neither are curable. If you have warts or dysplasia from HPV they can be treated, but the virus itself cannot, there is no cure.

Both diseases are incurable however genital warts permanently scar around the genital area. Genital herpes will flare up and disappear when the virus is inactive.

Warts come from the papilloma virus and may be cured. Herpes can not currently be cured.
