family members of those that used to live out on the TB sanitorium said that there family members use to hear and see "things" when they were there. Were the buildings constucted for TB purposes or was there something else here. I know they raised chickens and had a dairy. What were the buildings used before housing TB patients?

I found a link which says it was a land donated by the father of Clay Holliman for the Sanitorium located in Carlsbad to the State of Texas. The TB Sanitarium (The Anti-tuberculosis Colony #1) in Carlsbad, Texas was opened on July 4, 1912.

Before the construction of the sanitarium, I believe it was nothing more than a forest, an enchanted forest perhaps. If it was used for another purpose, possibly could have been an unofficial graveyard.

Clay Holliman owned most of the land between San Angelo and
Sterling City during that time. The sanitarium facility is presently the San Angelo State School.♥
