How long have you been dating? How old is the boyfriend?
I ask this because if you are still in school, maybe a CD (fav band), or DVD (fav movie). Gift card from fav store.

If you are out of school or in college (a bit older), then some clothes perhaps? Tickets to a concert. Gift cards to a store like Brookstone or some hi-tech store.

Also, something more personal- maybe a romantic dinner at home or a fancy restaurant.

Plan ahead for something in the summer. A trip maybe if you are bit older and can afford it???

I have no idea how much you want to spend or what his interests are. I've gotten my husband electronics or a bonzai tree since he's the green thumb in the house.

My former husband would not shop, so I had to buy his clothes. My now husband doesn't want me to shop for him so clothes are out.

Does he have a favorite team to root for? Team gear could be good. A new wallet, a wireless mouse, take him out to his favorite restaurant (call ahead, you might get free dessert). My hubby doesn't make a big deal out of his birthday since he thinks he's OLD. So it's the fun little stuff that appreciates. Even just a card.

wow, aren't you pro-active. He's lucky :)

Some ideas:

Dress shirts, Cologne, ties, his favorite cd's, books, spa voucher (so you both can enjoy a relaxing massage), air-ticket, electronic gadget, ipod

OR

Simply make a voucher saying, "this voucher valid for one year. Redeemable for any sane and legal request(s). Extension of validity base upon good conduct and extra TLC and/or case by case basis".

:)

You didn't mention how close you two were, or how long together. If this is a relatively new relationship, you really can't go wrong getting a gift card from someplace he likes, be it music, gaming or whatever.

One thing i do is make a book of vouchers for them

It contains everything from
A voucher for breakfast in bed
A voucher to watch the match instead of eastenders
To what ever dirty thoughts you have on your mind!
