If you really want to lower your cholesterol level modify your diet. Determine your fasting cholesterol level (do it yourself kits for around $15 are sufficient) and then go on a diet that is essentially fat free for about two weeks. Re-test your cholesterol level and then start adding fatty ingredients. In no case should you consume products containing partially hydrogenated vegetable oils. This will include all deep fat fried foods, any solid shortening, almost all margarines, to name a few. Become a label reader, analyze the nutritional data. Good luck.

Visit any good book store and go to the health section. You should be able to find a book on how to control high cholesterol.

Don't know about any books, but look into Flaxseed Oil. One of my co-workers dropped their rating by almost 30 points by exercise and taking Flaxseed.
