I feel for anyone who gets panic attacks - unless you've had them nobody knows just hw bad they can get - I used to think I was gonna die with every one I had. I also couldnt swallow - couldnt breathe and it was horrible. My doctor told me to cool my pulse points when an attack was coming on - ice where possible on the wrists worked good - it shocks the system into working again. If theres no ice shove your wrists under a cold running tap for a few minutes. In case of emergency I used to carry a small spray can of water in my bag (Evian sell it or magicool is good). Spray on your face and pulse points and it stops the attack. Good luck and hope you soon get over the attacks xx

I always thought I had a lump in my throat for many years. Until I was examined and the Dr. said "no lump" then I told him "I only get it when I have panic attacks, or cry." He told me it is muscles in my throat that tighten up. So I have tried to learn to relax, it isn't easy, but it helps.

Breathing techniques worked for me, tighten the muscles in your feet squeeze them tight as you can, while doing this let your air out your lungs so you can take a real deep breath in, and hold for a count of 10 then let the air out slowly.
repeat this now with your calf's then with the tops of the legs then with your bum then your stomach, chest, shoulders, arms, hands, doing the breathing as well as the same time as the tightening and so on when you finished with the face and top of your head then tighten all of the muscles up in the body that you just worked on.
Do a big deep breath and hold for a count of ten repeat another two times squeeze all the muscles as tight as possible and then let go of all your fear stress and anxiety hope it works for you it works for me and i don't get panic attacks at all now. that cleared them up.

did you mean "swallowing". It is probably not a panic attack. When does it happen. You should see a dr because it could be acid reflux.
