I love Church potlucks. Wonderful for fellowship (and not too bad for Hubris either hee hee).

It's great especially if you have a church full of little old grandmothers who know how to cook. You get the most wonderful dishes, cakes, pies and puddings. :)

Yeah, I do.

The only thing that can ruin it, is when one of the women think it's a good idea to ASSIGN dishes to make. The great thing about potlucks are the different ethnicities brought to the table. I live in Michigan, and some people are even racists against food!

When I used to go to church with my grandma, I loved it. So many different foods from what my mom made. (Mom was not a bad cook at all, just the same old repetoire) When I started taking dishes to the community potlucks, I was sneaky and always made my favorite jello dish of my mom's. Nobody would eat it, and I got to take the whole thing home for myself! Hee.

hi I even have been interior the Catering/eating place/nutrition company for over 25 years.....my factor being i relatively understand each thing which you're speaking approximately. company is often the substantial. The Deacons have some thing of their head that they like to verify happen. So furnish. Smile. you have 3 human beings working with you . there is not any way that it will happen a similar way which you have been doing it...completely. besides the undeniable fact that very own it relatively is to you, you relatively would desire to take a step lower back and delegate the 40 5 women folk, to deliver the nutrition, freshen up their stuff, and placed issues away. My factor is, that without you putting in greater time afterwards, they are going to see how plenty artwork has to bypass into it till now hand. So, once you bypass down stairs to consume, turn the activate for sparkling coffee.....you do no longer stay any greater then you've interior the previous, and that they are going to see how plenty is left over for them. i'm no longer attempting to be spiteful. now and lower back while somebody is stable at what they do, they make it seem common. i do no longer think of they understand how plenty you do, in such little time. the main needed time is optimal till now provider. That being taken away, enable them to understand how issues will crumble, and how it won't ever be as mushy, warm or chilly as they like issues to be. Their expectancies are severe, yet you do no longer carry their expectancies. Do what you do with the time you have now, and enable issues bypass as they are going to. You never understand, according to probability some different women folk will step up. I desire you each and all the main suitable, sorry for one in each of those long winded answer. yet i relatively understand the sadness it relatively is critical to be feeling. carry your nicely-known with the time alotted....in case you upload greater time to it, they are going to shop awaiting you to characteristic further and further of your guy or woman time. stable success

I love church pot luck dinners. You get to sample some good food and share recipes. The vitals are usually casseroles with a lot of veges, desserts, etc. We usually do it with a fifth Sunday sing.

It's sad when you did make something good and not alot of it is gone when the dinner is over. That actually happens at my in-laws Christmas dinner.
