My mom has MS. I hope a cure is found in less than 50 years as I really don't think she is going to last that long. I think stem cell research is the only answer.

Advances in research are being made as we speak. My husband has had M.S. since 1971. What we know now is far more than what we knew then. He is taking Copaxson, learning that "rest" is food for the brain, and doing amazingly well considering how his MRI's look. With or without stem cell research, I believe a cure will be found.

Do yo seriously think someone is going to answer "Yes, we are exactly 17 years, two months, and six days away from the cure...until then you are out of luck"? Get real. They are working and getting closer all the time, but what kind of stupid question is that?

If this stupid government changes and they allow stem cell research, there is hope. But we have idiots like Bush in charge.
