I went to the Dr. last week he said I have an extra click in my heart.. Should I be worried and what does it mean. I went to the Dr. because I had a bad cough, could that be the reason

It's not too serious. The extra click could just be one valve not closing all the way, or opening slightly once it's done. It shouldn't be a problem...although if it's affecting your heartbeat you'll be put on some medication, etc.

If you're really worried you can go back and ask for some treatment, but your doctor's experienced with these kinds of things, and he (usually) knows best.

I'm not sure what medical term your doc is describing, but many women have some degree of mitral valve prolapse which can cause a "different" sound to the heart beat. Most people have no problems from this. Since you are concerned about it, why not see a cardiologist to make sure it is nothing serious or in need of treatment.
