I just woke up from a bad dream (I think) and my heart was pounding so hard that I had to walk in the house until I finally calmed down. Was this a panic attack or something like supra-ventricular tachycardia? I didn't feel shortness of breath or pain, but just the racing heart. I had an episode of Afib at the beginning on the year, but when I had the arrhythmia today, the heartbeat wasn't irregular. It lasted about 1-2 minutes…which was enough.

It sounds like your racing heart was a normal reaction to (in this case internal) stimuli. If you were really having a bad dream, it's not unusual for your body to react to it as if it were actually happening. Now, I would need to see an EKG during the episode to be sure that you were having a sinus tachycardia to be sure, especially since you have a history of atrial fibrillation - it's impossible to rule anything out without at least seeing that.
However, if it acted like a heart rate during stimulation normally does (going down slowly rather than just stopping) then it's more likely to be nothing to worry about. If it happens again, I would consider seeing your cardiologist, there are devices that can be used to take a continuous EKG recording at home to catch such events so they can be properly analyzed.

The racing heart was probably just due to the dream, it happens to me quite often! If you are really worried see a doctor and get an expert opinion.

May have just been due to the dream, but if you've had A-fib in the past, you should see a doctor just to make sure everything is alright.
