They could just be telling you everything is ok. They just cant say it on an answering machine.

Calm down first of all because your results may very well be back and fine. I had been tested for STD'S and AIDS including the blood work and they told me it would take a week and I believe I found out in 3 to 4 possibly 5 days that all was well. If it is something like an STD they can give you meds to help. I don't want to seem nosy because I'm only trying to help. Is there a reason you feel there could be something wrong?
I just had a procedure done for HPV of the vagina. I only have had sex with two people but the one had sex with everyone. MY mistake.
This could mean nothing........they ONLY need to talk and tell you what the results are and you may need meds to clear anything up.

Personally I think you shouldn't worry about it. I know this is going to sound so annoying, but there is nothing you can do about it till monday, eh? Even if something is wrong, there is medication and stuff that can treat most diseases, including HIV (I'm not trying to scare you, I'm just being honest!) I agree with the people that have said that the doctors surgery cant leave a message on your answerphone, which is why my doctors surgery make you phone them for the results. My tests took about a week, so four days sounds about normal to me, (I had mine done on a friday) it might just be that the lab they use has a really quick turnaround. Please dont worry about it, and remember, if the worst does happen, like if you do have an STD, its best to know now, so that you can treat it and move on, rather than being in limbo! I think you're really brave, and you're gonna be fine! Good Luck!

It could be that nothing is wrong. It is against the law for personnel to leave test/biopsy results or any information from health/medical records on an answering machine as people that are not authorized to the information may hear it (anyone that is not the patient). It is classified as Protected health information under HIPPA. STDs do get reported to the health department though for statistical reasons. Any of your bloodwork results may be ready for discussion after 4 days.

Most blood test results come back in a day. When I have had blood work done, the doctor calls to tell me what the tests showed whether good or bad. You might be worrying for nothing.
Because it has been 4 days is a good sign. If anything bad had shown up, they probably would have called sooner.

Obviously they found something in your blood or you have a STD. They wouldn't call just to day that everything is okay. Most places have you come to pick up your HIV tests in person, regardless of the results. A call more than likey means somethings wrong.

ok well if you went to the gyno im not goin to sit here and scare you and tell you it could be aids or stds.. first of all it could just be that ur pap came back abnormally, which means you could have abnormal cells on your cervix and what not, this is very common in women. it could lead to more serious things such as hpv and cancer but dont be too worried. many women including myself have had abnormal paps, in which you return in a month or so for more.. and continue this process until they become normal and if not go for more testing... then if that is not the case id say maybe an std such as clamydia ghonnorea or syphillis, in which all are treatable by antibiotics. so do not be so worried. call im sure it is goin to be ok.. my gues is abnormal pap

dont worry to much, when i got my test and blood done, they took a week til they called and she called to say i needed to come in to get the results so i was scared cause i knew i wasnt cheating or screwing around. when i got there the doctor said everythings fine, your work is clean and free of any std's. i was so relieved. they said i had to show up cause they dont give results over the phone cause its confidential, they make sure its u there talking too over here in n.c.

Relax and try not to panic, it could be something as simple as an infection wich most women get from time to time. Unfortunatly you're going to have to wait untill Monday and try not to torture yourself with aweful thoughts between now and then, it won't help. Just in case though I wouldnt have any sex without a condom untill you know for sure whats going on.

If they need to talk to you about your results, it usually means something came back wrong. When the results are all negative, its rare that they would even call you. It could be anything. It only takes 24-48 hours for lab work (STDS) to come back. AIDS, warts, herpes, gonorhea (sp), syphillis, etc etc etc.
