My husband and I are going to a Halloween party Saturday. Its potluck. I was going to make posole but I found out that someone is already taking some. I also thought of making flautas but I think I would have to make too many. Any other ideas?

Flautas are a great idea, make them bite sized to look like more than they really are, and that way everyone can sample a bite or two!

Swiss Cheese and Bacon Dip, You will be the talk of the party on this one. Trust Me.
3 cups swiss cheese-shredded
1 8oz. pkg cream cheese-softend
6 strips bacon-crispy
1 tbsp. mayonaise
2 tsp. grey poupon
1 tsp. horseraddish
4 stalks chives
1 handfull salted whole almonds
Shredd your cheese into large bowl, fry the bacon crisp and dice
or crumble into bowl. Dice chives and set aside. Then add the
mayo, grey poupon, horseraddish and cream cheese, mix well.
Fold in the chives. At this time taste it, you might want more of
the mayo or grey poupon, or horseraddish, i go with my taste buds on the days i make this. Then put this into an 8X8 pan, do
not grease. Bake at 375 for 15 to 25 minutes, until golden brown
and bubbly, as soon as you take out of oven sprinkle the almonds
over the top.
Serve with an assortment of crackers or vegies. This will serve 6,
I always have alot of people to serve so i double the recipe and put it in a cake pan.I have had to make copies of this recipe for
guest at parties every time. Try it, you will be happy. Good Luck

1 stick unsalted butter
2 pounds ground turkey
2 medium jars spaghetti sauce with roasted garlic
Pinch dried oregano
Pinch dried parsley
Pinch salt, plus additional salt for pasta water
Pinch pepper
1 medium onion, chopped
1 (1-pound) box rigatoni noodles
2 (1-pound) blocks mozzarella cheese (not the soft kind)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a large skillet, melt half of the butter over medium heat. Add turkey and cook until browned. Add tomato sauce, oregano, parsley, salt, pepper, and onion and simmer until onion is tender.

Cook pasta in a large pot of boiling, salted water until a little less than al dente. Drain and cool. Cut 1 of the blocks of cheese into cubes and slice the other into thin slices. Melt the remaining butter and pour into the bottom of a deep 9 by 13-inch baking dish. Pour 1 1/2 ladles full of the sauce into the dish, or enough to completely cover the bottom. Add a layer of pasta and then a layer of cubed cheese. Repeat layering until all ingredients are used.

Fill 1 of the empty sauce jars 1/8 full with water and shake. Pour over pasta. Top with the thin slices of cheese, and sprinkle with additional oregano and parsley, if desired. Cover casserole with foil and place in oven. Check every 15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove foil for last 5 minutes of cooking to brown cheese.

WANT TO HAVE FUN AT A PARTY? PREPARE THIS RECIPE! COMPLETELY EDIBLE,
BUT YOUR FRIENDS MAY NOT THINK SO!

CAKE INGREDIENTS:
1 box spice or German chocolate cake mix
1 box of white cake mix
1 package white sandwich cookies
1 large package vanilla instant pudding mix
A few drops green food coloring
12 small Tootsie Rolls or equivalent

SERVING "DISHES AND UTENSILS"
1 NEW cat-litter box
1 NEW cat-litter box liner
1 NEW pooper scooper

1) Prepare and bake cake mixes, according to directions, in any size pan.
Prepare pudding and chill. Crumble cookies in small batches in blender or
food processor. Add a few drops of green food coloring to 1 cup of cookie
crumbs. Mix with a fork or shake in a jar. Set aside.

2) When cakes are at room temperature, crumble them into a large bowl. Toss
with half of the remaining cookie crumbs and enough pudding to make the
mixture moist but not soggy. Place liner in litter box and pour in mixture.

3) Unwrap 3 Tootsie Rolls and heat in a microwave until soft and pliable.
Shape
the blunt ends into slightly curved points. Repeat with three more rolls.
Bury the rolls decoratively in the cake mixture. Sprinkle remaining white
cookie crumbs over the mixture, then scatter green crumbs lightly over top.

4) Heat 5 more Tootsie Rolls until almost melted. Scrape them on top of the
cake and sprinkle with crumbs from the "litter box". Heat the remaining
Tootsie Roll until pliable and hang it over the edge of the box. Place box
on a sheet of newspaper and serve with scooper. Enjoy!

totilla pin wheels, easy. Ham roll-ups w/cream cheese, jalapenos, easy & yum! 7 layer mex. dip, always a hit. Brie w/bread bites or crackers. Boiled shrimp w/coctail sauce. Or a hearty soup if it's cold. Chili, potato or vege.

Place meatballs in a crockpot and cover with either BBQ sauce or your favorite Spaghetti Sauce (get hot before you go) -- serve with colorful toothpicks (find some Halloween ones at a craft store). I have NEVER brought any of these home, they are always devoured.
