I believe 100-120 is considered best. So 96 isn't bad. Be sure you eat regularly (5-6 small meals) a day to keep you blood sugar level at a constant (as constant as it can) level.

Yes it is. 100 is considered to be normal. In fact, if a diabetic is constantly at a level of 96, I would start to lower the medication and monitor the BSL.

That is a great reading. But note your blood sugar could jump by , for example, 200 points just by drinking 1 glass of juice. So please test again 1 hour after a big meal or desert and read this great magazine for information such as this:

Go to the right side of home page and do a search such as "how to lower your blood sugar," you will be amazed at the content.
This magazine saved my butt!

Normally, blood glucose levels stay within narrow limits throughout the day: 4 to 8 mmol/l (70 to 150 mg/dl). Levels rise after meals and are usually lowest in the morning, before the first meal of the day.
